Join performance poet Adisa and Arts Award Moderator Ruth Clarke for a lively session exploring how creative writing and poetry can support core literacy learning. This event is perfect for teachers, support staff and tutors looking for creative literacy ideas, and Arts Award Advisers who are interested in improving their Arts Award programme.

Adisa will invite participants to explore an Arts Award he has created which is rich in the language of poetry. You will then have the opportunity to work alongside us as we match ideas to challenges, and act as facilitators as we test out some of his most impactful creative writing tools.

The session will end with a presentation of brief case studies on Arts Award and other literacy projects, along with links to useful resources, and a shared challenge to celebrate the achievements that lie ahead

Who is it for?
Teachers, representatives from the cultural sector, and arts practitioners working in London. You do not have to be a trained Arts Award Adviser to attend this event.
