Behaviour Management for Young People in the Arts & Cultural Sector

7 October 2020 @ 10:00 - 16:00

£48 – £80

Promoting a style of engagement with young people that supports their wellbeing and individual needs, and helps them to succeed and achieve.

This is essential training for anyone working directly with young people. Undertaking practical workshops and activities requires a broad understanding of youth culture and the issues surrounding young people’s lives. There are added pressures of working directly with young people at risk, one of which is having the skills, knowledge and experience to be able to support behaviour effectively and responsively. This course will discuss behaviour strategies, health and safety issues and risk assessment. You will also look at ways of promoting a style of engagement with young people that supports their wellbeing and individual needs, and helps them to succeed and achieve.

This training day will be split into two sessions 10am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4pm allowing for a lunchbreak in between. There will also be a comfort break in both the morning and afternoon session at the discretion of the trainer. Training will run using Zoom video conferencing. Full joining information will be sent once we have received your booking. You do not need a Zoom account in order to take part in this training, but you will need access to a computer or smartphone that has video capabilities.

Ideal if:
You work directly with children and young people in the arts and cultural sectors.

You will gain:
A better understanding of behavioural issues, potential causes and the best ways to respond to them
