Creating family friendly resources and interpretation

14 October 2021 @ 10:00 - 12:30

£27.54

Do you want to explore ways to improve your self-guided resources and interpretation for families at your museum or heritage site?

This training webinar will be led by Sarah Shaw, former National Family Interpretation Manager for English Heritage. Her work included designing family friendly experiences at the UNESCO site Birdoswald Roman Fort, which won the Best Family Day Out UK Heritage Award in 2020.

Sarah will share top tips for creating family resources and interpretation for a range of ages, play styles and learning styles to inform your own family friendly provision.

The day will help delegates to:

gain an understanding of play and learning styles to help you create resources to suit a wider range of children and young people
find out how to adapt your resources and interpretation to children of different age groups
develop your resources and interpretation for families to enjoy together as a group
gain inspiration from a range of examples to take your own work forward.
Take a look at the full schedule.

This training event will be delivered virtually on Zoom over one half-day session (two hours and 30 minutes with a short break).
