14 December 2020 @ 10:00 - 16:00

£45 – £75

An Organisational Approach to Safe Practice with Children and Young People in the Creative and cultural sectors

This course is for those who wish to develop a strategic approach to safeguarding and are responsible for overseeing safeguarding practice. The course focuses on a whole team approach to embedding safe practice across creative, cultural and heritage sectors.

You will carry out an audit on your organisation and create an action plan that will support best practice around safeguarding in your organisation through the delivery of policy, practice and the sharing of information. You will also explore ways of including young people’s voice to influence your procedures. The course also includes an online safeguarding section, exploring current guidance and best practice for the online environment, helping you to identify and consider the updated risks and how this can impact on your own policy and practice.

This training day will be split into two sessions 10am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4pm allowing for a lunch break in between. There will also be a comfort break in both the morning and afternoon session at the discretion of the trainer. Training will run using Zoom video conferencing. Full joining information will be sent once we have received your booking. You do not need a Zoom account in order to take part in this training, but you will need access to a computer or smartphone that has video capabilities.
