Embedding safeguarding practice training

12 January 2022 @ 10:00 - 16:00

£20 – £45

This course is for those who already have a good level of safeguarding knowledge, who wish to develop a strategic approach to safeguarding and are responsible for overseeing safeguarding practice. The course focuses on a whole team approach to embedding safe practice across creative, cultural and heritage sectors.

Members of GEM are also entitled to discount to Engage training as part of our reciprocal relationship. Please contact [email protected] for a discount code before booking on Eventbrite.

In the training, you will carry out an audit on your organisation and create an action plan that will support best practice around safeguarding in your organisation through the delivery of policy, practice and the sharing of information. You will also explore ways of including young people’s voice to influence your procedures. The course also includes an online safeguarding section, exploring current guidance and best practice for the online environment, helping you to identify and consider the updated risks and how this can impact on your own policy and practice.

This course would be suitable for those who:
– have previously undertaken a child protection or safeguarding course or have a good level of safeguarding knowledge
– wish to develop a strategic approach to safeguarding within their own organisation e.g senior managers, board members, creative directors
– are currently acting as safeguarding lead or are responsible for overseeing safeguarding in the organisation
