GEM North East & NEEMPG – Heritage education in the North East

Heritage educators are renowned for working with diverse audiences in a range of settings. Join experienced heritage educators from across the North East who will share with you some of their career highlights, low lights and progression tips.

There will be time to network and a facilitated Q & A discussion about what are the current challenges faced by those wanting to have a career in heritage education.

This event is for emerging museum professionals who are interested in a career in heritage education and experienced heritage educators who would like to share their journey and experiences.

Refreshments will be served on arrival.

The North East Emerging Museum Professionals Group (NEEMPG) is a North East based group predominantly for those in the early stages of their museum, art gallery and heritage career. The purpose of such a network is to build and maintain meaningful connections within and across different backgrounds, disciplines, and institutions.
