As we all face anxieties about Covid cuts and finding new normals, how can we speak up for the essential work of museum educators? Educators are often the voice of the museum in the community and the community in the museum, we bring the collections to life and give the museum’s work heart. But educators can struggle to feel heard, worrying about job security or having trouble implementing their ideas in hesitant organisational cultures.

This GEM South East Coffee and Conversation will bring Gemmers together to talk about how we can speak up for our roles, ideas, contributions and passions, building our power in the museum and laying the path for more agency at work.
