29 August @ 09:30£365
29 August to 31 October 2018
Creativity, Culture & Education (CCE) are delighted to launch the first CCE summer school for teachers with a passion for creative learning who desire to professionally develop their practical and theoretical skills to benefit their learners.
This intensive and immersive three-day summer school is designed for teachers, educators and creative practitioners from around the world who want to deepen their theoretical and practical knowledge of creativity, creative learning and using the arts across the curriculum.
Challenging and inspiring in equal measure this training will equip you to develop new or enrich your existing creative learning practice and projects for schools or in the community.
Based on CCE’s renowned and globally tested approaches, you will explore the philosophy and principles of creative learning as well as develop strategies and gain the skills to devise and deliver creative approaches within the curriculum and for the learners in your setting.
Who is the summer school for?
This is an inspiring experience for teachers, educators, artists and creative practitioners who work with children and young people at all ages and stages of development.
It is as suitable for early years practitioners, primary and secondary teachers, educators who work in special needs schools or in community settings as it is for emerging and established creative practitioners who are looking to refresh creative and cultural learning practices, programmes and projects.
What will I gain?
This investment in personal growth and development will build your confidence and aspiration to teach creatively and effectively for the challenged your learners face in the 21st century.
You will leave the course with an inspiring and invigorated personal learning plan and ideas for new delivery based on inclusive theories and good practice from our work around the globe.
You will be supported throughout by experts who have decades of experience in this specialist field and will be encouraged by a peer group of like-minded and motivated co-learners. The course has been designed and will be delivered by CCE’s Chief Executive, Paul Collard alongside Di Fisher-Taylor, Claire Webster Saaremets and Andrew Garrad.
The summer school will take place in Newcastle, with a tuition fee of £365. Some bursaries are available.
