Do you want to better promote your heritage site as a great place for children and families?

Communicating well to families is the fifth point of our Kids in Museums Manifesto. This means letting them know about the great things you have to offer them, before, during and after their visit.

In this online webinar, we will look at the most effective ways you can present your organisation as a family friendly venue and promote your work to a family audience.

We’ll share best practice from across the sector, including talks from Yorkshire Museum about their dynamic social media content and the Postal Museum about their family newsletters.

The webinar will cover:

– tailoring your communications and website for families
– setting up and managing a family newsletter
– creating social media content that appeals to families
– understanding and growing your family audience.

This training event will be delivered virtually on Zoom over one half-day session (two and a half hours with a short break).

This training is aimed at those working in small and medium size museums who do not have specialist marketing or press experience.
