National Programmes Conference

4 November 2019 @ 09:30 - 17:30

Free – £15

The conference will explore equality and diversity in museum practice across the UK – highlighting issues of representation, authority and power with particular focus on disability, class, gender, race and sexuality.

We are delighted that our Keynote speaker to start the day will be Bonnie Greer. Playwright, novelist, critic, broadcaster and former British Museum Trustee, Bonnie is passionate about making positive change in the museum sector. Bonnie’s keynote address will be followed by over 35 different sessions exploring equality and diversity in museum practice, led by speakers and contributors from across the UK.

Tickets are available to purchase online via the British Museum’s website, and thanks to the support of the Vivmar Foundation, concessions tickets are available for anyone who needs them as well as a limited number of travel bursaries for those who would otherwise be unable to attend.
