Spark your Creativity! interpretive writing for graphics live online September 2024
4 September @ 10:00 - 12:00
This course is suitable for anyone wanting an introduction to writing interpretive content for graphics (panels, leaflets, labels etc). It also works well as a refresher for anyone who has some interpretive writing experience but wants to brush up their skills or build up their confidence in interpretive writing. The group is limited to 16 people. You will discover:
• How to prepare for writing interpretive content including making a plan, establishing tone of voice and word counts
• The key principles behind interpretive writing good practice
• How to put these principles into practice when writing
• How to apply the principles for editing interpretive content
The course provides activities, during the webinars and as ‘homework’ between sessions, to exercise your writing skills. You will produce interpretive graphic content and practice editing your content during the course. The course runs over three weeks and comprises a mix of live 2 hour webinars (via Zoom with closed caption subtitling), individual activities and online group discussions. Webinars will be recorded and available to access with a transcript of subtitles. You will have ongoing access to the platform during and after the course to make use of the additional resources, supporting videos and exercises there in your own time.
