What’s the role?
We’re looking for a Creative Manager to design and implement a digitally delivered creative arts programme for the Breakout Room.
What is the Breakout Room?
We at the Foundling Museum seek to grow our impact with care-experienced people across the UK, through an innovative new project called The Breakout Room. This private digital portal will adapt elements of our established training programme, Tracing Our Tales, alongside new and bespoke creative, vocational and participatory content.
The aim of The Breakout Room is to build a virtual community in which creative ideas and expressions can be shared, free of stigma. This flagship project will be a private portal for care experienced people of all ages, with a particular emphasis on those aged 18-30 years, designed to promote positive mental health and reduce isolation, through creative participation and discussions. The portal aims to encourage more opportunities for care-experienced people to work in the creative industries.
What will I be doing?
Working alongside our website developers, who are creating the framework for the portal, we are looking for someone to develop an exciting, relevant and engaging programme of online activity, including artist-led events, workshops, courses and discussions, to increase significantly our reach and impact, by enabling many more care-leavers to benefit.
