Thames Explorer Trust is an educational charity on a mission to engage people with the River Thames through interactive learning programmes and events. Now in a 32nd year we have an excellent reputation for delivering quality outdoor education on the Thames foreshore.
We are looking for four, key stage two, freelance teachers to deliver our popular and highly regarded KS2 Rivers and Environmental Issues programme:
This popular programme has both an indoor and outdoor element and is taught at Kew, Chiswick and Fulham Palace. We are keen to hear from people with some of the following skills:
- A degree in biology, geography, science or similar. Other degrees or qualifications could be considered.
- Teaching experience, ideally key stage two pupils
- Experience in managing groups of young people in an outdoor situation
As well as Rivers and Environmental Issues we also run a number of other programmes so there is room to grow the role for the right person. Full training will be given.
If you are a professional freelancer, can motivate and inspire young people and would be happy teaching outside in all weathers, please download the job description and get in contact.
