Activity Consultant required to produce an Activity Plan and Access Audit (together with supporting the community consolation) for the Heritage Lottery Funded project DNAire – Developing the Natural Aire. This is a joint project between the Environment Agency and The Aire Rivers Trust to install fish passes on the River Aire with significant community engagement activity focused on celebrating the return of salmon to their traditional spawning grounds in the upper Aire near Skipton and to deliver a volunteer programme of River Stewardship. This project has a strong digital emphasis with plans to create a virtual (and where possible physical) trail along the River together with web and smartphone based materials to help people discover the built, cultural and natural heritage of the River Aire at focus points on the route. This project is an opportunity for the Aire Rivers Trust is expand and formalise. Therefore, organisational development will be a key part of the mentoring and delivery we require from an Activity Consultant.

Indicative budget of £18,500 subject to negotiation about the precise scope of the work to be completed by the consultant and the work must be completed by January 2019 in time for the final HLF Stage Two bid to be submitted by April 2019. The Aire Rivers Trust currently employs one member of staff working on community engagement and consultation and would like to engage an Activity Consultant as soon as possible. The deadline for tenders is 18th May 2018 with interviews during the week commencing 28th May 2018.
