Derby Museums offers a full and varied programme of learning activities across the three sites that make up the Trust – The Museum & Art Gallery, Pickford’s House and The Silk Mill as well as in other community settings. With an emphasis on co-producing and facilitating intergenerational learning experiences which engage the head, heart and hands, this is a fantastic opportunity to expand your creative learning experience and skills and apply them to inspire and engage our audiences.
This will be a varied and exciting opportunity for someone to develop their experience and skills in museum learning and engagement. Working within our passionate and committed Learning and Participation team, you will be pivotal in supporting the co-ordination and delivery of learning programmes for a diverse range of audiences.
The role includes but is not limited to;
- Supporting the development and implementation of a range of activities as part of the learning programmes across Derby Museums’ sites and activities,
- Supporting the engagement and participation of diverse audiences in Derby Museums’ learning programmes and activities
- Providing comprehensive and effective administrative support to the Learning and Participation team.
The role will also include occasional weekend and evening work.
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated individual, who is flexible in their approach to work, highly organised and passionate about supporting learning. You will have prior experience of co-ordinating activities, with the ability to engage and work effectively with a wide range of people and a strong belief in your ability to make a positive impact.

20 days (pro rata) + bank holidays, flexible working, mileage allowance payable on authorised business travel.
