History off the Page’s experienced teachers have been expertly delivering engaging hands-on learning in primary schools across England since 1996.  We are expanding and seek to recruit two full-time teachers, one based in Cambridge and one based in Hemel Hempstead.  If you are passionate about history, love teaching in a creative way and are prepared to travel, you may be the person we are looking for.

From our two bases, our teachers drive to schools throughout England, bringing history alive for primary school children and leaving behind amazing and lasting memories.  In school, they create an immersive learning environment that uses drama, role-play and practical crafts to engage the children in historical events, science or literacy topics.

On any given day one of our teachers may be anything from a member of Pharaoh’s court in Ancient Egypt to a Home Guard volunteer, helping evacuee children in the Second World War.  When the school day is done, our teachers return to base, cleaning and swapping their history kits ready to do it all again.

A willingness to drive sometimes long distances and a clean driving record are both a must.  There is also an element of lifting and carrying on all of our days.  Successful candidates must pass an enhanced DBS check.  We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expect all staff to share this commitment.
