Could you engage and inspire young people with the amazing stories behind our world-renowned collections? If so, this is a unique opportunity for you to create transformational learning experiences that spark imaginations – and challenge new generations to set sail on their own voyages of imagination, discovery and understanding.

What’s more, you’ll be joining Royal Museums Greenwich at an exciting time in its history. In Autumn 2018, we opened our new Exploration Wing, the culmination of our pioneering ‘Endeavour’ project Endeavour is changing the way we engage with our audiences so they become more than visitors, they are becoming collaborators and partners who inform and help shape the museum, its programmes and displays.

Now, as our Learning Team delivers innovative new programmes, projects and resources related to our new galleries, you’ll be right at the heart of our developments. It’s a wide-ranging role that will see you work across all the sites of Royal Museums Greenwich as you design, manage and deliver a multi-stranded youth programme. That will include an Audience Engagement, Young Volunteer Projects, Creative Challenges, Youth Events and more.

Through all of this, your aim will be to ensure that young people see our museum as an amazing place for learning, enjoyment and inspiration.

Key here will be your ability to work directly with teenagers and build strong partnership with education, youth and cultural organisations. You will also need sound experience of producing high-quality learning experiences for young people. Your background could be in arts or cultural education providers, or perhaps you’re working within secondary education or the youth sector and you’re looking for a rewarding secondment opportunity. Either way, you should bring a proven track record of developing and managing learning projects and programmes plus excellent communication and team working skills.
