Virtual Member Presentations

Virtual Member Presentations

Members presentations are a treasured part of our annual GEM conference each year. We love offering a platform to our members to talk about their work and this year, we’re going virtual! All members are invited to submit a virtual member presentation for the GEM Heritage YouTube and feature within the monthly GEM eNews to members. Please read the guidelines below if you are interested in submitting and get in touch with us if you have any questions.

Guidelines

  • All videos must be a minimum of 5 minutes and a maximum of 10 minutes.
  • They must be exported for YouTube in a 1080p mp4 format.
  • Please film in a quiet space and be sure the phone is turned horizontally if you are using a mobile device to film.
  • The use of video, audio and images is encouraged to show the full scope of projects.

Videos will be accepted on a rolling basis until August 2021. If you have any questions, please contact GEM Communications Manager, Devon Turner at [email protected].

GEM Conference 2021

Due to the Covid-19, we’ve had to postpone GEM Conference 2020 at Historic Dockyard Chatham to 8, 9,10 September 2021. We look forward to welcoming GEM members to our Chatham HQ next autumn.

GEM conference is always a great opportunity to connect with the fantastic heritage learning community, sharing our challenges and celebrating our innovations.  For 2021, we are excited to welcome Gemmers from across the world to the new home of the GEM Office, Historic Dockyard Chatham in Kent. There are lots of unique sites to visit and amazing learning going on in the South East of England that we are eager to share with delegates from near and far.

Our conference next year will have ample networking opportunities, hands-on workshops and plenty of unique locations and activities…. We will even be using a historical ship as the site of one of our breakout sessions!

If you’re new to GEM and GEM Conferences, you can get a flavour for how this landmark event works by checking out past conferences and reading our conference blog posts.
