‌Since the National Civil War Centre’s temporary closure began, their Learning Team have been hard at work on a raft of projects to support both parents teaching from home and adults who are isolated. From guided tours to interactive games, illuminating podcasts and more as well as ‘Making History’ craft tutorials helping you make exciting history-themed projects with what you have at home, there should be plenty to keep you engaged and entertained during this difficult time. 

Learning at Home Units

Modules of work to help you to complete a history project based on the English Civil War. Activities include podcasts, films, reading and writing tasks, recipes, quizzes, drama and craft. Click here for a flavour of our museum learning experience from your own home.

‌‌‌‌Mini Museum

Mini Museum is a weekly session for children aged 0-5.  We can’t get into the museum, but we can still have fun with play, stories and messy making.  Every Monday, we’ll upload a new idea for a day of fun with your little ones.
