I’m Abi Hiskey, a freelance illustrator with over ten years experience in creating fun, lively and educational illustrations for the heritage sector. My illustrations and design services have been used by museums, galleries and heritage sites around the country. Before becoming an illustrator I worked in museums and galleries for eight years; I installed exhibitions, documented collections and delivered family workshops. This past experience gives me a unique insight into what is needed from me when commissioned by a museum, gallery or heritage site. It has given me a keen eye for historical accuracy and an enthusiasm for research as well as an understanding of how to make fun, engaging trails and activities that bring subjects to life.
