Kimyo is a website that aims to promote children’s engagement with museums and showcase what museums have to offer.

Kimyo helps children (and adults!) explore and engage with local museums. For low-income museums our platform is free to use. Kimyo users can search for things that they want to see by topics of interest or by location.

Kimyo also contains a section for educators, with lesson plans linked to National Curriculum objectives that can be used with the items and locations on the website, aiming to encourage children to explore museums outside of school visits. Museums can log in and update their items listed on kimyo whenever needed to adapt to their exhibitions. Kimyo is advert-free.
