About
An experienced audience research and evaluation professional. Delivers tailor-made training in specialist areas. Works with a range of heritage organisations from volunteer-run local museums to world-renowned cultural institutions. Skilled in data collection (using both traditional and innovative methods), analysis, and objective reporting. Regularly works with a wide variety of people (both users and non-users), including families, teenagers, older people, friends and community groups, volunteers, adults and children with additional access requirements, primary and secondary teachers and their students. Always sensitive to the needs of non-traditional, harder to reach audiences. Emphasises timely delivery, collaborative capacity building, and early-stage evaluation planning. An audience research and evaluation consultant since 2000, with prior museum management experience at the Livesey Museum for Children (Southwark Council) and the Museum of the Moving Image (British Film Institute). Postgraduate qualification in Museum Studies, Honors Degree in Archaeology and Certificate in Teaching in Adult and Higher Education. Professional membership of GEM, Visitor Studies Group (previous Chair) and Museums Association.
