We are available for bookings by schools (all ages), museums, events and community groups for hands and minds-on historical themed learning sessions, interpretation, talks and displays. We are experienced teachers, living historians and freelance museum educators with a vast array of accurate historical costume and artefacts. We cover almost all of history from the Stone and Bronze Ages, to Ancient Egyptians, Greeks, through Romans ,Celts, Anglo Saxons, Vikings, Medieval, Tudor, English Civil war, Victorians, WW1, WW2, the 1950s, 1960s and more. Meridith Towne is a dress historian and costume maker who creates, and provides consultation on, historical clothing for heritage sites and museums nationwide, including the Royal Armouries, English Heritage, and The National Trust. Trained at Durham University and The Northern College of Costume, she supplies interactive and informative costumes and props for use by workshop providers, volunteers, and school groups.
