This literature review from Kids in Museums identifies and explores the complex mix of hurdles, or barriers, to participation in museums and galleries by children, young people and their families. It also makes a set of recommended actions to begin tackling these issues.
Circuit was a national four year (2013-17) programme led by Tate. In the project’s own words "Circuit set out to create better access to the arts for 15-25 year olds. It was built on Tate’s long-term work with young people, and aimed to reach those who might not usually connect with galleries."
