Diane has volunteered and worked in the culture sector for over 20 years, mostly in access and learning. She loves finding that spark in people who maybe don’t think art and culture is for them, and is currently running a project for arts and mental health post-pandemic. Outside of work she’s a mum of two, a Cub leader, plays tennis, does a bit of running and is part of a local women’s football team.

Liz Egan

Learning and Access Manager – Thackray Museum of Medicine

Liz has volunteered and worked in heritage  for over 16 years , mainly working within Learning, Access and Community Engagement.

She currently manages a busy learning and access department at Thackray Museum of Medicine in Leeds, enabling people to access the thought-provoking world of medicine in an engaging and unique manner.

Outside of work she is a mum of two, a Leeds united season ticket holder, a bit of a geek when it comes to all things Plantagenet and an avid reader. She also somehow finds time to work for a Baby and Pre-School swimming company
