About the course

This 3 part course is for individuals working within learning in museums, heritage and cultural settings. Our sector has had many challenges in the last few years with many organisations being forced to review their programmes, all of which has had an impact on the workforce.

This course has been specifically designed for those who have recently undergone change or a career shift, such as redundancy, parental leave, or prolonged absence from work. Additionally, it welcomes participants who sense the need for a professional reboot in preparation for the year ahead.

What can I expect from the Course?

Designed for active participation, this course revolves around fostering confidence after setbacks, resetting your career toolbox and cultivating a mindset to promote your skills and self in a way that works for you. Tailored to professionals working with museum or heritage learning, it will provide a space for individuals to learn from their peers and build strong support networks.

The course is split over three sessions;

1) About You: Rebooting your career toolkit based around your values and purpose.

2) Confidence booster: learning from challenges and tackling limiting beliefs.

3) Empowering reset: networks, connections and making an action plan for next steps.

  • Each session is accompanied by pre and post creative career exercises which offer a space to reflect, learn and set new goals.
  • Bolt on coaching sessions and support also available.
  • Sessions take place online
  • Delivered by Liz Fraser-Betts, Dot Dot Dash Coaching. With over 18 year’s experience working in the arts and creative industries, she uses creative ways to help people make positive change, embrace ‘squiggly careers’ and find new solutions by empowering them to reach their goals.
