Autism is neither a new nor a growing condition but museums are increasingly aware of the need to cater for this audience and to support team members affected by it. This can seem daunting because every autistic person is different. Although their abilities and the challenges they face vary hugely, there are common features. In this presentation, Jo will introduce some of these, talk about the prevalence of autism, and explain some of the associated terminology you might encounter. With some understanding, you can make a difference.
