Join A New Direction for an event reflecting on Steve McQueen Year 3 and what we in the cultural sector can learn about working at scale with young people, making inclusive offers, and cross-team working both within and between organisations.

Their collection of essays, with writers including Ego Ahaiwe Sowinski, David Parker, and Eileen Carnell, explore issues including access, entitlement, representation, collaboration, and risk and will be available in late June. This event will be an opportunity for discussion with colleagues in the cultural sector – exploring new ideas and approaches to providing more large-scale opportunities for young people, presented with provocations from speakers and essayists including Colin Grant, Pauline Tambling, and Anna Cutler.

The Year 3 Project involved a variety of teams collaborating together, from curatorial and visitor experience to learning and engagement; press and marketing to the visitor shop. We therefore encourage you to bring a colleague from a different part of the organisation to offer another perspective and open new avenues for collaboration.
