Adaptation and innovation: new and changing approaches to co-creation

10 February 2022 @ 12:30 - 15:30

£15 – £50

*We are delighted to be able to offer GEM members discount to our Sharing Space 2022 series as part of Engage and GEM’s reciprocal relationship.*

Join us for our final conversation in the Sharing Space series. Sharing Space explores how artists, organisations and people create art and catalyse social change.

Our final conversation considers the future of co-creation against the backdrop of global social, cultural, and political unrest. How has the pandemic shifted perceptions of why we create with others? What do artists need to maintain a livelihood and be supported to engage in collaborative relationships? Our contributors will share their predictions and provocations on what the future holds for co-creative visual arts, and the role this practice might play in tackling inequality and injustice.

Contributors: Susanne Burns, Sarah Derrick, Head of Learning at Dundee Contemporary Arts, and whatsthebigmistry, Priya Mistry, multidisciplinary artist, socially engaged worker and creative producer.
