Effective evaluation breeds powerful and exciting projects. This training day will support you to build your, and your colleagues’, skills in evaluation so that you can begin evaluating your projects and programmes in a way that is simple, effective and not too time consuming:

• Develop understanding of how to plan simple evaluation projects
• Gain skills in writing evaluation questions
• Learn where you can find resources to build evaluation capacity within your organisation
• Learn where you can find resources to build public engagement capacity within your organisation
• Learn about and practice simple and creative evaluation tools

Drawing on what has been learnt through developing the four LearnToEngage training modules, Botanic Gardens Conservation International (BGCI) will offer a short programme of practical activities that will show participants how to start out evaluating your work. To follow on from this, Kate Measures, Technical Head of Research and Evaluation at Heritage Insider, will share some fun and creative tools to add a bit of pizzazz to your evaluation.

Chelsea Physic Garden is always a popular venue for bgen events. Tucked away beside the Thames, Chelsea Physic Garden is the oldest botanic garden in London and houses around 5,000 different medicinal, herbal, edible and useful plants. There will be chance for you to explore the gardens during the event at lunchtime.
