Researching and Writing NLHF Activity Plans

13 October 2021 @ 10:00 - 12:00

£7.50 – £15

The National Lottery Heritage Fund (NLHF) Activity Plan is the key to any application to the NLHF for funding. Whether for a £10,000 or £10 million project the principles of Activity Planning are the same.

This session will outline the process of researching and writing an NLHF Activity Plan. It will explore some of the tools that you will need to use to research your current and potential audiences. It is these audiences that you will target as part of your Action Plan or Project Plan that will be central to the delivery of your project and the resulting community engagement.

Claire Adler has written many NLHF Activity Plans for projects as large as Suffolk Archives £10million development of The Hold to Headway Cambridgeshire’s £150k project for World War 1. Claire is an NLHF appointed mentor and has worked with over 60 NLHF funded projects to mentor projects into delivering best practice, including National Maritime Museum, Harwich Electric Palace Cinema and Gressenhall Workhouse and Museum. She has also delivered training to NLHF staff in assessing Activity Plans.
