Supporting Remote and Virtual Learning

GEM – Group for Education in Museums working in partnership with Museums Galleries Scotland has developed a new online course to support museums in Scotland to deliver remote and digital learning.

GEM operates throughout the UK and Europe, supporting emerging to senior professionals involved in delivering learning in museums, heritage and cultural settings.

The course will include examples of best practice examples in engaging schools and other groups including families remotely. The course will provide up to date guidance regarding delivery of learning programmes in the context of Covid-19 and emerging best practice in delivering a digital museum learning offer for schools. Chaired by GEM Director Rachel Tranter, the course includes case studies from learning practitioners to provide a variety of practical examples and top tips which will guide you and your museum in developing remote learning.

GEM operates throughout the UK and Europe, supporting emerging to senior professionals involved in delivering learning in museums, heritage and cultural settings. As a thriving and vibrant membership network of over 1,500 museum and heritage professionals, GEM also offers online learning opportunities, mentoring programmes, dedicated area & nation reps and numerous networking opportunities to strengthen your career.

This event is aimed soley at Scottish museums and museum professionals.
