In this session we will invite you to participate in a Virtual Classroom just how students experience these sessions. You’ll take the role of the teacher/students and we’ll lead you through the experience from pre visit resources, to the workshop on the day, right through to post visit activities.

You’ll experience just what the teachers and students do to help support you in your design and delivery of Virtual Classroom sessions.

This event will be a 60 minute participatory workshop followed by a 30 minute Q&A session. All attendees will also be sent both the pre and post resources just as our teachers receive.

Lisa Shames:

Lisa Shames is the Senior Learning Manager at the Jewish Museum London. Lisa has both led on the creation of the Virtual Classroom and regularly delivers these sessions alongside outreach and in the museum visits. Lisa will be your Virtual Classroom session leader for this event, taking you through this interactive demonstration and experience.

Fran Jeens:

Fran Jeens is the Interim Museum Director, and former Director of Learning and Engagement at the Jewish Museum London. Fran has led the strategic redirection of the museum to a digital and virtual focus and initiated the launch of the Virtual Classrooms. Fran will be introducing the session and leading the Q&A session.
