Y Cwricwlwm newydd ar gyfer Cymru – Cyfle newydd i amgueddfeydd ac ysgolion

Mae’r Grŵp Addysg mewn Amgueddfeydd, a ariennir gan Adran Diwylliant a Chwaraeon Llywodraeth Cymru, wedi bod yn ymgynghori ag amgueddfeydd ac athrawon, ac yn eu harolygu dros y 3 mis diwethaf i drafod sut fydd y cwricwlwm newydd ar gyfer Cymru yn hwyluso perthynas newydd rhwng y ddau sector yng Nghymru.

Mae’r ymgynghorydd amgueddfeydd, Robin Johnson, wedi arwain yr ymgynghoriad hwn, a bydd y digwyddiad hyfforddi hwn yn rhannu canlyniadau’r arolwg ac yn trafod ei argymhellion ar gyfer y dyfodol.

Bydd cyflwyniadau o astudiaethau achos arfer da gan amgueddfeydd, fel Amgueddfa Lechi Cymru, Casgliad y Werin Cymru, y Ganolfan Eifftaidd, Amgueddfa Aberdaugleddau, Amgueddfa Stori Caerdydd a Threftadaeth Rhondda Cynon Taf. Bydd GEM Cymru yn arwain sesiwn ynghylch arfer amgueddfeydd a’r cwricwlwm newydd, byddwn yn clywed safbwyntiau athrawon dosbarth, a bydd cyflwyniadau gan ddarparwr hyfforddiant i athrawon, y Rhwydwaith Celfyddydau ac Addysg Cenedlaethol a siaradwyr diddorol eraill i’w cadarnhau.

Bydd cymryd rhan yn y digwyddiad hwn yn rhoi dealltwriaeth eang ichi ac ymwybyddiaeth o sut mae amgueddfeydd Cymru’n addasu eu gwasanaethau addysg i ymateb i anghenion ysgolion yn llawn yn seiliedig ar fframwaith y cwricwlwm newydd ar gyfer Cymru.

Mae staff amgueddfeydd ac athrawon yn cael eu hannog i fynychu’r prynhawn cyfan, fodd bynnag, rydym yn deall efallai na fydd athrawon yn medru ymuno am 1pm, felly bydd fwy o bwyslais ar amgueddfeydd yn ystod hanner cyntaf y prynhawn, cyn symud ymlaen at ysgolion yn ystod yr ail hanner, ond mae croeso i bawb ymuno o 1pm – yn wir, bydd y prynhawn yn llawer iawn mwy effeithiol petai hynny’n digwydd.

Bydd cyfieithiad ar y pryd o Gymraeg i Saesneg ar gael ar gyfer y digwyddiad hwn

The New Curriculum for Wales – A fresh opportunity for museums & schools

The Group for Education in Museums, funded by the Welsh Government Culture & Sport Division, have been consulting with and surveying museums and teachers over the last 3 months to discuss how the new curriculum for Wales will facilitate a new relationship between the two sectors in Wales.

Museum consultant Robin Johnson has led on this consultation and this training event will disseminate the results of the survey and discuss his recommendations for the future.

There will be presentations of good practice case studies from museums such as the National Slate Museum, People’s Collection Wales, The Egypt Centre, Milford Haven Museum, the Museum of Cardiff and Rhondda Cynon Taf Heritage. GEM Cymru will lead a session on the new curriculum & museum practice, we will hear a classroom teacher’s perspective, plus there will be presentations from a teacher training provider, the National Arts Education Network and other stimulating speakers t.b.c.

Participating in this event will give you a broad understanding and awareness of how Welsh museums are adapting their education services to fully respond to schools needs based around the framework of the new curriculum for Wales.

Both museum staff and teachers are encouraged to attend for the whole afternoon, however we understand that teachers may not be able to join at 1pm so there will be more of an emphasis on museums for the first half of the afternoon, and schools for the second half, but everyone is welcome from 1pm – indeed the afternoon will be very much more effective if this is the case.

There will simultaneous translation of Welsh to English available for this event
