Creating Queer Learning Programming: Our first speaker is Claire Mead. Claire will speaking about her work on Anne Lister Online: Digital engagement around historical lesbians . Exploring the question “How can we create new engaging digital content linked to lesbian historical figures within museums and heritage? ” Claire will speak about her digital engagement work around LGBTQI legacies related to Anne Lister, in collaboration with Calderdale Museums (Shibden Hall and Bankfield Museum) and beyond.

Delivering Queer Learning Programming: Our second speaker is Matthew Exley who will sharing work on programming for schools. In this talk Matt Exley outlines his experiences in developing a formal education session at the Museum of Liverpool exploring LGBTQ+ identities and the power of stimulating open, honest, and frank conversations about what it is like and has been like to be an LGBTQ+ person in Britain.

Evaluating Queer Learning Programming: Our third speakers are Tali Krikler and Caroline Marcus who will be sharing their work as evaluation consultants to the Royal Opera House’s Family Festival Programme focusing on Family Pride.
This will be a panel event. Each speaker will present their work and there will be a facilitated Q+A at the end hosted by Fran Jeens.
