Creative writing – GEM Cymru and the Welsh Curriculum

25 March @ 15:30 - 17:00

Free – £5

Teacher and writer Emma Benyon has many years of experience in using creative writing as an interpretive tool in her work with heritage organisations in Wales to encourage curiosity, creativity, confidence from visitors and users. Recently Emma delivered a project working in mid Wales with four museums and schools to create witing inspired by the museum and the concept of Cynefin.

Engaging creatively with language and literature helps support the development of learners’ sense of identity and an understanding of their relationships with their own cultures and communities and those of others.

This session will help you to enable young people you work with to be inspired by heritage collections and to explore their ‘Cynefin’ through creative writing activities and techniques. Delegates will also be able to explore their own creativity in this workshop!
