Join GEM’s new training aimed at non-education specialist staff from museums, archives and local studies libraries to learn about how the new Curriculum for Wales will affect your service to schools.

This free interactive session will be delivered by experienced museum learning freelancers Lorna Kernahan & Sarah Pevely from Keystone Heritage, based in North Wales.

The session will give you an opportunity to learn more about:

• The basic principles of the new Curriculum for Wales and understanding its aims & objectives

• How to use the new Curriculum for Wales when planning your learning activities

• What new opportunities might be available for your learning service

• What support and advice you can access

• How to link your learning offer to the Cynefin framework

• How to develop your service around Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic lived experiences

• A chance to hear about some recent heritage/school partnership examples of working with the new curriculum

This is a chance to chat about your concerns, ideas and thoughts about the new Curriculum for Wales with fellow heritage learning providers.

Dates available: Wednesday 11th, Thursday 12th, Monday 16th or Tuesday 17th January 2023

Time: 10am -12.30pm

This training is supported by the Welsh Government Culture division who have commissioned GEM Cymru to create resources which support learning provision in museums in Wales, with an emphasis on the new Curriculum for Wales.

This training will be delivered in English, simultaneous translation will be available on request if you would prefer to contribute in Welsh.

• Pa gefnogaeth a chyngor sydd ar gael i chi

• Sut i gysylltu eich cynnig dysgu â fframwaith Cynefin

• Sut i ddatblygu eich gwasanaeth o amgylch profiadau bywyd Du, Asiaidd a Lleiafrifoedd Ethnig

• Cyfle i glywed am rai enghreifftiau diweddar o bartneriaethau treftadaeth/ysgol o weithio gyda’r cwricwlwm Newydd
