Intersectionality For Museums

Join equity educator Laïla El-Métoui and GEM to learn about intersectionality in museums and engaging with minorities in your organisation.

Who is it for?

This session is aimed at anyone who is interested to learn more about intersectionality in museums and develop new practices that can help engage marginalised groups and communities. This interactive and though-provoking session will help your organisation to diversify your team, be more inclusive and create a sense of belonging. You will also be provided with a bespoke workshop e-book with additional resources to delve deeper into the subject.

Who runs the course?

Laïla El-Métoui is a UK based Equity Educator, listed on the TOP 100 Pride Power List 2021.

She is the founder of two bi-yearly global virtual conferences Educating Out Racism and Pride in Education. Laila founded and chairs Proud London Councils, the Pan London Forum for LGBTQ+ staff network in local authorities. She also founded and co-chairs UK Queer Arabs.

When & where is it?

This virtual session will be delivered on the 16th of November between 10am and 12pm via Zoom. You can expect a dynamic interactive session packed with practical exercises and tips. The training Zoom link will be sent to all participants prior to the event.
