30 September 2020 @ 10:00 - 16:00

£45 – £75

Designed for individuals and organisations working with adults at risk in the creative, cultural and heritage sectors.

This course has been designed for individuals and organisations looking to update their understanding of safeguarding legislation and best practice, specifically when working with adults at risk in the creative, cultural and heritage sectors. You will explore what is meant by the term “adults at risk” in the context of your work and will develop approaches for recognising and responding to the different types of abuse associated with adults at risk.
This engaging course will look at sector specific case studies and examples and will offer practical advice and tools to help you develop sensible structures and build confidence around issues relating to working with adults at risk. You will spend some focused time exploring the particular challenges facing young adults (age 18-30). The course also includes an online safeguarding section, exploring current guidance and best practice to the online environment, helping you to identify and consider the updated risks and how this can impact on your own policy and practice.

This training day will be split into two sessions 10am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 4pm allowing for a lunchbreak in between. There will also be a comfort break in both the morning and afternoon session at the discretion of the trainer. Training will run using Zoom video conferencing. Full joining information will be sent once we have received your booking. You do not need a Zoom account in order to take part in this training, but you will need access to a computer or smartphone that has video capabilities.
