Mindfulness at the Museum

GEM NE are bringing to you an afternoon of wellbeing and mindfulness. Discover some of the exciting projects and programs of work that have been taking place around the country, promoting mindfulness and wellbeing with staff or visitors.

Take part in a short meditation session and learn some tips and techniques for managing stressful situations led by Ana Flynn, Conservation Officer from Tyne and Wear Archives and Museums.

Find out about the History, Health and Happiness program with Victoria Ryves, NPO Program Manager with Heritage Doncaster. Find out about their outreach work across the Borough, and how their community wellbeing work has impacted their team.

Louise Thompson, Health and Wellbeing Manager at Manchester Art Gallery will share some of the exciting projects they have worked on, as well as demonstrating how to useful artwork and mindfulness together.

Explore the work of the Fitzwilliam Museum with Sarah-Cate Blake, Education Officer. From young people to outreach with elders, Ruth and Sarah-Cate will share the work they have being doing around meditation and mindfulness including practical sharing examples.
