This 45-minute lunchtime session (inc. 15-minutes for Q&A) will be a short introduction on how to use oral history in a wide range of heritage projects, and will be led by Laura Owen, Oral Historian on behalf of London Historic Buildings Trust.

Laura will explore:

-A short introduction to oral history: what it is and how can it be used to enhance built heritage projects
-The workflow of an oral history project
-Things to consider: permissions, copyright, legal requirements and ethics
-Tips on how to record the best oral histories on a small scale
-Links to case studies of oral history projects and further information on oral history best practice

This session is aimed at those new to developing and delivering oral history projects, or those that want to refresh their existing knowledge.
