Experienced Learning and Heritage Consultant with a demonstrated history of working with museums, galleries and cultural organisations.

More Details

I have over 25 years experience of working in cultural and heritage learning; 16 years as Head of Learning at Imperial War Museums.   I taught History of Art, Art and History for 4 years at a secondary school then joined the learning department at Imperial War Museum London as a Learning Officer.   As Head of Learning I was responsible for devising and implementing formal and informal learning programmes; Continuing Professional Development for teachers; ad hoc activities for all age groups and events.  I took an imaginative and enterprising approach with learning via history, art, music, drama and literature in order to build new audiences. I developed initiatives for partnerships in the wider educational world and strong relationships with appropriate educational bodies.

As a Learning and Heritage Consultant I have worked with a number of organisations developing learning strategies and helping to develop learning programmes.   I have experience of creating evaluation frameworks and have written evaluation reports for Heritage Funded projects.  I am also on the Learning Committee of my local museum, Heath Robinson Museum and regularly work as a consultant with the trust.

Clients include:  West House and Heath Robinson Museum Trust, Royal College of Nursing, York Museums Trust, Royal Museums Greenwich and All Saints Church, Rayne.
