More Details

I am a specialist in learning, public programming, communication and evaluation. I am particularly good at accessing hard to reach audiences. I am passionate about creative programming and its ability to change lives. I have worked in Heritage and Culture for over 30 years at local, regional, national and international levels developing, designing and delivering sector leading diverse, ambitious and creative programming for a variety of audiences and communities.

In my role at the Imperial War Museums I was the lead on the national schools and family programme and worked in collaboration with academic professionals, interpretation designers, creative suppliers and expert partners such as Mathew Bourne New Adventures and 14-18 Now. My remit was to embed digital into all the learning programmes for example Documentary Challenge and The Ministry of Memory.

As an ex-Head of History and now school governor I have excellent background experience in pedagogy and am able to work with confidence in a school environment. I am successful in engaging with multiple stakeholders, and am particularly good at motivating diverse multi-disciplinary teams to reach a common goal and effecting change in working practices.

I am Mental Health First Aid trained and the safeguarding lead for my local church benefice.

Working on my own:

I worked with schools in Essex to develop the Snapping the Stiletto resource for Essex County Council. I am working with Walsall Arts for All on a creative arts programme looking at improving social cohesion. I am also working with Miranda Ellis and Shirley Collier to evaluate the NHLF programme at Bawdsey Radar.
