GEM Italy

Italy is both a territory of ancient history, and a relatively young nation, in which regions, cities and communities see themselves still as distinctively different from one another.

As national area reps we are aware of the variety of geographical and cultural contexts we will need to liaise with and of the importance of listening to the different voices that represent Italy in order to facilitate a network that is representative of them all.

We believe that this is a pivotal time for reaching out to museum education professionals in Italy, in which GEM can play a very important role. Online communication will be helpful to establish and unify a national network, paving the way to onsite engagement when this will be resumed again
