Community Outreach Officer, University of Edinburgh Museums
Laura has been working in the community engagement team for University of Edinburgh Museums since 2018, after studying and teaching English Literature. She has a particular interest in working with young people from underrepresented backgrounds but enjoys working with a diverse range of audiences across a variety of subject areas. When not at work, she enjoys running, reading and visiting Edinburgh’s many cafes.
Learning Coordinator, National Library of Scotland
Jo has worked for the National Library of Scotland since 2018, in Reference Services and in Public Programmes. In her current role, as Learning Coordinator, she works predominantly with families and schools, managing workshop strands for senior school pupils, as well as leading Bookbug sessions for under-fives. Outside of work, Jo loves spending time with her wee boy (especially taking him to lots of museums and libraries), running, and reading.
Visitor Service Assistant, the National Trust for Scotland
Gavin Wilkie is a Visitor Service Assistant at the National Trust for Scotland property, Culloden Battlefield and Visitor Centre. Gavin is a team member of the Engagement Team at the Battlefield. It is Gavin’s job to in effect bring the story of the 4th and final Jacobite uprising to life for visitors. This is done in a variety of ways, from battlefield tours, military groups, school groups, presentations, and general engagement with visitors throughout the exhibition. Gavin is deeply passionate about his role in binging the stories of those involved in this conflict to life.
